Article Submission Policy

The National Property Management Association is the premiere property and asset management educational association. As such, our development is reflected in the literature that is created by our members, authors and researchers related to our professional field. We encourage authors to submit articles covering a broad range of topics including property, asset management and the related technical fields, as well as managerial pieces that would help further the intellect, technical knowledge and expertise of our members.

Additionally, there will be regular columns about Standards, Federal Government Rule Updates, Contractor Regulations and Technology. Feel free to submit your article that deals with one of those column topics.

Following are the technical submission requirements and the link to submit your article.

The Managing Editor and the National Editor confer to select articles for the magazine. The selection criteria varies based upon such considerations as potential themes for a particular issue of The Property Professional, a satisfying mix of technical, philosophical, and editorial articles, and current trends within the field of property and asset management.

Please note that the NPMA has the right to “edit or reject” any material submitted for publication. No article is rejected without concurrence of the Managing Editor and the National Editor. Grounds for rejection include slanderous, libelous, racist, - irresponsible, frivolous, insulting, or any inappropriate comments regarding government or industry. As a multicultural diverse organization, the NPMA aspires to maintain the highest standards in this regard.

Because of potential copyright infringement, articles that have appeared in other publications are generally not accepted unless the submitter (1) has the authority to submit the article for reprinting or republication or (2) obtains written permission and submits this along with the article.

NPMA does not pay for the publication of material in The Property Professional. We believe that it is the responsibility of each and every professional involved with property and asset management to contribute and share their intellectual knowledge with their peers.

NPMA members are encouraged to submit an article to The Property Professional. This effort provides the opportunity to become a published writer and thereby gain the respect of one's peers and colleagues.
