This course addresses many aspects of property management from both a research-based and general academic/non-profit perspective. This course is designed with the novice as well as experienced property professional in mind. Course structure includes discussions, instruction, case studies, individual as well as group activity and associated feedback. Bring your experience to provide perspectives, questions to ask, lessons learned to share, and an open mind to discuss a variety of situational challenges needing creative resolution.
Course Objectives

Cancellations
In the event that you need to cancel your registration, cancellations must be received in writing 45 days prior to the first day of course and no refunds less than 45 days before start date of class. A refund, equivalent to the member tuition rate less $75 processing fee, will be granted through this date; no refunds or course transfers will be granted for cancellations after this date.
About the Instructor: Ivonne Bachar, CPPM, CF
Ivonne Bachar, CPPM CF, Senior Director of the Property Management Office for Stanford University.
Ms. Bachar has held staff and management positions at research-intensive higher education, research & development, as well as commercial manufacturing organizations throughout her career in Property Management.
Her credentials include a master's degree in Education, Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM), and recognition as an NPMA Consulting Fellow (CF). She is an experienced instructor having delivered training and education at many levels to novices as well as seasoned professionals. Ms. Bachar is an NPMA Instructor of property management and certification courses and is a frequent workshop presenter throughout the U.S. She is keenly focused on mentoring and providing professional development guidance to individuals in property management and related fields. In addition to mentoring within the NPMA community, she is actively involved in mentoring and related activities within the Talent Development Program for the Business Affairs organization at Stanford University.
A long-time active member of the National Property Management Association, she has held numerous positions at Chapter, Regional, and National levels including National President. Ms. Bachar is currently serving as NPMA's National Vice President of Administration. She is a recipient of the national Jack E. Griffiths Property Person of the Year Award and most recently the Andrew C. Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her contributions to the NPMA, the Property Management profession, and the broad spectrum of those she mentors.
