- Exam can be canceled and rescheduled, however there will be a fee charged to you if cancelations/reschedules are within 24 hours (online testing) or 72 hours (onsite center testing) of your exam start time.
Course Description The NPMA Certification Program is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance individual performance for those who demonstrate a high level of competence essential to the practice of property management. This one-day class will provide an intensive review before you sit for the CPPM exam. Testing is, however, optional, and scheduled through our proctoring service, Kryterion. The cost of the exam is NOT included in the course registration. The course is taught by an NPMA instructor who is CPPM-certified. Contact education@npma.org Instructor Bio Alex Barenblitt, CPPM, CF Alex Barenblitt is Managing Partner and Senior Consultant on Government Asset/Property Management for Barenblitt Enterprises, LLC, dba BSM Company. Alex provides Asset Management consulting services to Federal Contractors, Subcontractors and Agencies. Over the last several years, he’s provided property management support to the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Courts System, the Department of State, NASA, HQ Army G4, and the Department of Homeland Security as a consultant for LMI, LLC, a consulting firm supporting Federal Agencies. He recently resumed work as an independent consultant.
Alex spent most of his career as a contractor working with mostly DoD Joint Agencies, NASA and Intelligence Community organizations. Prior to joining LMI, Alex was Government Property Manager for SGT, a NASA contractor which was acquired by KBR/Wyle, and for AAI Corporation, a unit of Textron Systems, a Defense Contractor known for building the Shadow Unmanned Aircraft System.
He is Past President of the NPMA Harbour Lights Chapter, Past Chair of the NPMA Council of Fellows, Past Chair of the NPMA Contract Property Special Interest Group, and an active participant on the ASTM E53 Committee on Asset Management, including as former Sub-Chair on Terminology. He is a regular contributor to the Property Professional and Presenter at NES. Alex is also trained and experienced in the conduct of independent Property Management Systems Analyses (PMSA’s) and in the development of policies and procedures that conform with Federal requirements and yield good results.
Alex entered the Property Management field in 2000, as an implementation consultant and Director of Operations for E-Innovative Services Group, acquired by AssetWorks, the provider of the eQuip! Enterprise Asset Management System.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications from Penn State University and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland. He is a CPPM, NPMA Consulting Fellow with certifications in ISO 55000 and Six Sigma (Green Belt).
