The NPMA, in partnership with TSI , is proud to offer the first Certification for the Federal Fleet Specialist
The Certified Federal Fleet Specialist (CFFS).

 

The Certified Federal Fleet Specialist (CFFS) course is designed as an introduction to Federal fleet management for anyone involved in the business of fleet management at any level. Previous Specialist attendees have included SES level to office fleet POCs (points of contact), department and regional asset, property and fleet managers, and novice as well as experienced fleet personnel. This course will introduce the student to typical duties of fleet management, fleet language and terminology, laws and regulations, reporting requirements, electric vehicles, telematics, cost tracking, and other important fundamentals. In-person training events will also allow students to participate in a forum to discuss problems, issues, and possible solutions that will improve the ability of attendees to perform everyday tasks and address immediate concerns.

16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded for class completion. 

TESTING

·  NPMA uses the services of an independent proctoring company Kryterion. NPMA exams will be administered through Kryterion’s system

   Webassessor.

·  Exam will be one, multiple question exam and will not be administered during the class

·   Scheduling an exam appointment is made online directly with Kryterion. Learn more

·   Exams can be taken online or at one of Kryterion’s testing centers. Both methods require an appointment.

·   If you would like to take your exam online after the class is complete, please do not make your testing appointment before 5:30 pm on the last day of the class. When signing up for your online exam, allow a minimum of 24 hours before your requested start time/date. 

·   Online exams require the use of your own laptopLearn more about requirements for laptop/webcam/internet speed/firewalls here.

·   Laptops used for online testing must have a webcam

·   If you are taking the exam at the course venue after the close of the class, you will be responsible for providing your own internet access     either through your hotel room’s hardwired internet or by using your Smartphone as a WiFi hotspot.

·  NPMA will not provide internet access for testing.

 

 

COURSE MATERIALS

Student Manual is included in registration fee. A PDF version of the student manual will be emailed prior to the start of class to familiarize yourself with the course content.

 

Important Registration Information:

Please note: A minimum number of registrants is required to hold this course. NPMA will make the Go/No-Go decision at least 45-days out. If you are planning to attend, please make sure to register at least 45 days prior to the start of the course. In the event a course is cancelled, NPMA will not be liable for non-refundable travel, so please do not book before confirming with a NPMA staff member that the course will hold. Once the course is full to capacity, registration will close.

 

Payment must be received 45 days prior to the course. 

 

Waiting on approval for registration funding? To guarantee that you have a spot in the course, it is highly recommended you register for the course as soon as possible. Upon completing your registration, choose bill me. This will generate an invoice and hold your spot while you wait for required approval from your organization.

 

CANCELLATIONS 

  • In the event you need to cancel your registration, cancellations must be received in writing 45 days prior to the first day of course
  • No refunds less than 45 days before start date of class
  • A refund, equivalent to the member tuition rate less $75 processing fee, will be granted up to 45 days prior to class; no refunds or course transfers will be granted for cancellations after this date.

Instructors:
Gary Hatfield is a Senior Vice President of Tech Systems. Prior to joining Tech Systems, he was Vice President at Mercury Associates. He has 20 years of experience in direct fleet management and over 20 years as a fleet management consultant. He holds a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Mr. Hatfield has personally worked on more than 100 fleet study projects during his career. He is credited for creating the Federal Fleet Management training and certification program for the National Property Management Association (NPMA) and has trained over 200 people in Federal fleet management. He is a Certified Federal Fleet Manager.

Adlore Chaudier is an Associate Vice President of Tech Systems, Inc. (TSI). Prior to joining TSI, he held a team-leadership position in the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Governmentwide Policy (OGP; 2004) and Associate Vice President at Mercury Associates. Before joining GSA, Dr. Chaudier was Vice President, Government Services, for Runzheimer International, for which he worked 22 years. Overall, he has nearly 40 years of experience in the fleet management industry, more than 20 of those as a fleet management consultant with a focus on federal fleet management since 2005. Dr. Chaudier is a Certified Federal Fleet Manager (CFFM) who has worked on more than 150 fleet study projects and some 50 projects in other mobility areas.
