CPPS Certification Review This class awards 24 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) The cost of the exam is NOT included in the course registration. Please see testing instructions below. Those wishing to take the certification exam should study the materials prior to class. The course is designed to review the materials before taking the exam. Testing is, however, optional, and scheduled through our proctoring service, Kryterion. The course is taught by an NPMA instructor who is CPPM-certified. Due to accreditation regulations, the instructor has not seen, and does not have access to, the actual exam. Course Payment Policy Registrants with pending payments 45 days prior to the first day of the course must guarantee payment or will be dropped from enrollment. Course Cancellation Policy Please note: A minimum number of registrants is required to hold this course. If you are planning to attend, please make sure to register at least 45 days prior to the start of the course. Individual cancellations must be received 45 days prior to the start date of the course. - Exam can be canceled and rescheduled, however there will be a fee charged to you if cancelations/reschedules are within 24 hours (online testing) or 72 hours (onsite center testing) of your exam start time.
COURSE MATERIALS The Fundamentals of Personal Property Management is included with the registration fees. You will also receive an email confirmation containing links to your manual. COURSE DESCRIPTION Every organization, regardless of its size or type has critical business functions that are integral parts of meeting its objectives and accomplishing the mission. Property management is, first and foremost, a general management assignment no different than the management of any other resource such as money, personnel, or facilities. Personal property managers are directly accountable to a higher authority for the acquisition, use, redistribution, and disposition of personal property. As stewards of our company or agency’s personal property, we have a fiduciary responsibility to manage property in a prudent and compliant way. The Fundamentals of Personal Property Management course is designed to teach the basics of property management, cradle-to-grave, including how to effectively manage personal property. Judy has more than 20 years in Property Management with U.S. Defense Industry working for Government Contractors such as BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, General Atomics, KBR/Honeywell, and Rockwell Collins. Judy has a Master’s Degree in Procurement and Contract Administration from the University of Maryland University College. She has been a member of NPMA for over 15 years and has served as Chapter President, National Delegate, Treasurer, and Proctor and is currently the Eastern Region Treasurer. Judy is leading the current review and rewrite of the CPPS Manual and is excited to begin teaching fellow NPMA members as a new instructor in 2022.
