Registrants with pending payments 45 days prior to the first day of the course must guarantee payment or will be dropped from enrollment.

Please note: A minimum number of registrants is required to hold this course. If you are planning to attend, please make sure to register at least 45 days prior to the start of the course. TESTING

A Certification Review course is a study option for a certification exam and not a requirement.

 

  • As of January 2023, the CPPM Certification exam is a multiple-choice exam which requires a single best answer.
  • Exams are no longer administered by the instructor following a Review Course. They will be scheduled with and administered by our exam partner, Kryterion.

  • Exam can be canceled and rescheduled, however there will be a fee charged to you if cancelations/reschedules are within 24 hours (online testing) or 72 hours (onsite center testing) of your exam start time.

  

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The NPMA Certification Program is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance individual performance for those who demonstrate a high level of competence essential to the practice of property management.

 

After obtaining the CPPS and CPPA, you are ready to take your professional certification to the next level by completing the Situational Judgment Essay Exam forCertified Professional Property Manager (CPPM).

 

This one-day class will provide an intensive review before you sit for the CPPM exam.See a shortened version practice exam. Testing is, however, optional, and scheduled through our proctoring service, Kryterion. The cost of the exam is NOT included in the course registration. The course is taught by an NPMA instructor who is CPPM-certified. Due to accreditation regulations, the instructor has not seen, and does not have access to, the actual exam.

 

CPPM Eligibility Requirements

  • Have an active CPPA
  • Complete the CPPM Application Form (Note: You will need to log in to your NPMA profile at www.npma.org prior to completing the form.)
  • Have an approved Work Summary (more information here)
  • worked in property for at least six (6) years and have a variety of work experience in at least seven (7) functional areas of property management (see below)
  • Have four (4) years of managerial experience
    • Note: Managerial experience means supervision, decision-making, or management of resources (not necessarily personnel). This could include project management; program management; financial management (budget); team leadership; or serving as the sole property manager in an organization, corporation, or agency.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Ivonne Bachar, CPPM CF, Senior Director of the Property Management Office for Stanford University

Ms. Bachar has held staff and management positions at research-intensive higher education, research & development, as well as commercial manufacturing organizations. Her credentials include a master's degree in Education, Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM), and recognition as an NPMA Consulting Fellow (CF). Mentoring and providing professional development guidance to individuals in property management and related fields is an activity in which she is keenly focused. She is an experienced instructor having delivered training and education at many levels to novices as well as seasoned professionals. Ms. Bachar is an NPMA Instructor of property management and certification courses and is a frequent workshop presenter throughout the U.S. An active member of the National Property Management Association, she has held numerous positions at Chapter, Regional, and National levels including National President. Ms. Bachar is currently serving as NPMA's National Vice President of Administration. She is a recipient of the national Jack E. Griffiths Property Person of the Year Award and most recently the Andrew C. Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her contributions to the NPMA, the Property Management profession, and the broad spectrum of those she mentors.
