Event Details
CPPA CERTIFICATION REVIEW  This class awards 24 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This class will be held for four consecutive days from 11:00 AM -  6:00 PM Eastern .   Requirements for participation in online courses
    Computer Internal OR external webcam Headset with built-in microphone OR ear buds with built-in microphone Adobe Connect (free download available  here ) OR Google Chrome
IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility test your system before registering for the class, or at least 45 days prior the start date of the class. No refunds will be issued after 45 days prior to the start date of class. To download Adobe Connect and test your system, please go to  https://npma.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm  and follow the steps to install Adobe Connect, then run the diagnostic test. If you cannot download Adobe Connect, follow the steps to enable/install flash player, then click Test Again.   A link to access the class will be sent at a later date.

Once you have paid for your registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes a link to the study materials. 

Testing is optional, and scheduled through our proctoring service, Kryterion. Please see testing instructions below. The course is taught by an NPMA instructor who is CPPM-certified. Due to accreditation regulations, the instructor has not seen, and does not have access to, the actual exam.

A Certification Review course is a study option for a certification exam and not a requirement. 
    Exams are no longer administered by the instructor following a Review Course. They will be scheduled with and administered by our exam partner, Kryterion. Exam can be canceled and rescheduled, however there will be a fee charged to you if cancelations/reschedules are within 24 hours (online testing) or 72 hours (onsite center testing) of your exam start time.  
Course Materials The Intermediate Studies Manual is included with the registration fees. A digital copy will be provided in the 30 days out from the course "Know Before You Go" email  Hard copy manuals will be shipped to the mailing address provided upon registration.  If you have asked someone else to register you for this class,   please ensure they provide YOUR email address and mailing address on the registration and not their own .   Course Description This course takes the property professional from the beginning life-cycle stages of property operations into the broader value-added world of organizational partnering and strategic property management concepts. Attendees will experience an in-depth examination of property management topics ranging from voluntary consensus standards, requirements determinations, contracting and assistance, risk, consumables, and fleet management to value-added solutions and environmental considerations. If you have at least one year of property management experience, this course provides the tools to succeed as a professional property manager.   Topic Overview
    Capital planning process. Voluntary consensus standards and the current ASTM International published standards. Cost benefit analysis as a tool in risk-based property management. Efficient consumables management and fiscally responsible stewardship of organizational funds. Fundamentals of fleet management in relationship to other property management duties.

Frank recently retired as Emeritus Administrator from California State University Stanislaus where he was employed for over 36 years. After various promotions through the years, he served as the Director of Support Services which encompasses Property Control, Shipping and Receiving, Surplus Property and Sales, Records Management, Mail Services and the Print Shop. He has over 40 years’ experience in logistics, material handling and asset management. During his career, he worked for E&J Gallo Winery and attended Modesto Jr. College and CSU Stanislaus studying Business Production and Operations Management.

Frank has been a member of NPMA since 1993 and received his CPPM Certification with the National Property Management Association in 2007. In 2016, Frank received the “Andrew C. Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award” for recognition of Lifelong Commitment, Dedication and Contributions to NPMA He also is serving as the Treasurer and Director of Chapter Support and Professional Development for the Western Region of NPMA and serves as the Higher Education and Research Chapter Secretary. He has also served as a proctor and has held various positions at the Chapter Level. He currently is a Certification Instructor for NPMA and is working on developing additional courses of study, specific to Asset Management and Logistics. He recently received another opportunity in the teaching field, working for The Graduate School USA as a Faculty member, teaching and developing new Asset Management Courses for the Business Management Department specific to Federal Government employees.

He received the University “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2009 and the “Presidents Commendation Metal” in 2012 for excellence in the workplace. He also served as volunteer CSUEU Union President at the University for 17 years focused on solving workplace problems.
