Purpose

This award was created in 1991 to recognize outstanding members during the annual gathering of their peers. All NPMA members, excluding the National and Regional Officers, are eligible for this award.

The award is given for exceptional service at the Chapter, Region or National level. Examples would be chairing a special committee, providing leadership during meetings, teaching or leading certification study, setting an example of dedication to NPMA or just plain being a good member.

The Outstanding Member Award may be received by a member more than once. The maximum number of award recipients from each Chapter varies by Chapter size: Small (1), Medium (2) and Large (3).

The recipient(s) of this award is recognized during an awards ceremony at the National Education Seminar (NES). In addition, the recipient(s) receives an awards certificate and Outstanding Member pin.
