Chapter of the Year Award
Purpose
Each year, NPMA will honor three chapters that are most prominent in advancing the association’s objectives and goals and providing benefits and educational opportunities for their Chapter Members.
Recognizing that the size of a chapter can have an impact on its accomplishments, awards will be presented to the Small, Medium, and Large Chapters of the Year.
National Chapter of the Year will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place for each size category.
- 1st place will receive a cash award of $500 and a patch for the Chapter banner
- 2nd place will receive a cash award of $300 and a patch for the Chapter banner
- 3rd place will receive a cash award of $200 and a patch for the Chapter banner

Qualifying Criteria
A. NPMA HQ will announce awards process and the National Awards Committee will provide eligible Chapters with their Chapter of the Year Criteria Fillable Template. A blank template is provided here for reference.
B. Chapters will submit their petition using the Chapter of the Year Fillable Template (minimum submittal requirement) and the optional Presentation Template for additional points. See Section 1, Category 1 for additional information.
C. Nominations shall be descriptive of the Chapter's achievements and impacts. Supporting documentation required as stated in the templates.
D. Nominations must be submitted via online format on or before April 30th deadline. Submit here.
Selection Method
A. The Director of Awards and VP of Administration will evaluate nominations to ensure completeness and the minimum requirements are met. Accepted nominations are forwarded to the Awards Committee for the respective Region to which the nominee belongs.
B. Each Region Awards Committee selects a winner for each category (small, medium, and large) and notifies the Region Vice President and the National Director of Awards.
C. The National Awards Committee reviews the Region winners and selects the National 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each category (small, medium, and large).
All submissions will be the property of NPMA. Upon request, previous petitions may be available to other Chapters for reference use.
