Fleet Management Award
PURPOSE
The NPMA Innovations in Fleet Management Award recognizes excellence and innovation in fleet management at leading corporations, federal, state and local government agencies as well as universities and institutions of higher learning.
The recipient(s) of this award is recognized during an awards ceremony at the National Education Seminar (NES) and receives an award. In addition, NPMA will award $300 cash to the Chapter whose member achieves this recognition.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA
A. Award Year time-frame: Only projects completed during January 1st through December 31st of the prior year will be considered.
B. Eligibility:
1. Nominee(s) must be a member in good standing. (Note: Member in good standing is defined as an NPMA member who is current on dues and active within their Chapter or Region.)
C. Criteria: This is an individual or team award that recognizes the efforts for fleet management operations at the individual or teams organization. This award recognizes new or innovative fleet management practices that:
- Improve operations to reduce costs or risks
- Improve accountability and records management
- Contribute to the overall goals of the organization
NOMINATION Process
Any NPMA member in good standing may submit a nomination for this award using the applicable Award Template detailing eligibility and accomplishments of the nominee(s).
A. Chapters, Regions, and National will advise all members of the opportunity to nominate an eligible recipient(s) for this award.
B. Nominations shall be descriptive of the candidate's achievements and impacts. Supporting documentation is not required; however, shall be available if requested by the National Awards Committee.
C. Nominations must be submitted using the online submittal format on or before the deadline of April 30th each year. Submit here.
- Attach the applicable completed Award Template
- Attach a high qualify photo (png or jpeg files, 300 dpi) of the nominee (current headshot is preferred).
SELECTION METHOD
A. The Director of Awards and VP of Administration will evaluate nominations to ensure completeness and the minimum requirements are met. Accepted nominations are forwarded to the National Award Committee members.
B. The National Awards Committee evaluates each of the narratives, selects the winning nominee, and notifies the National Office.
C. NPMA will send communication to the award recipient's supervisor notifying him or her of the member's achievements for NPMA.
