2021 Awards Spotlight - Carl Iannacone Tribute Award

Congratulations to Kendrick Dickerson, CPPS of the Alamo Chapter, recipient of the 2021 Carl Iannacone Tribute Award. Kendrick has been an NPMA member since 2008 and a property professional for over 15 years. His background is diverse, including Department of Defense, NASA, Government Contractor, and Commercial property management. He has served in numerous chapter and region leadership positions, including Chapter President, Region Vice President and on the Certification Governing Board (CGB).

Kendrick's willingness to assist others and his commitment to NPMA is unmatched. He is always willing to learn, volunteer, mentor and network with a warm welcoming spirit and a genuine smile. Again, congratulations to Kendrick! Thanks for all you do for NPMA.

		A Message from the NPMA Certification Governing Board The NPMA Certification Governing Board made a recent policy change regarding certification renewals, effective immediately. For those renewal applicants who do NOT meet recertification criteria at their current level, there are three options available to move forward. 1. If certification is not renewed, the applicant will no longer be an NPMA Certified Property/Fleet Professional. The certification mark will no longer be authorized for use. 2. Successfully retest at the current level, thus extending the expiration date an additional 5 years. 3. The applicant may choose to reduce their credential to the next LOWER level where renewal requirements are met. For example, a current CPPM does not meet the renewal criteria at the CPPM level, but does meet the CPPA renewal criteria. The applicant may choose to renew their certification at the CPPA level. In order to move back up to the CPPM level, successful testing at that level is required. Certification is a part of your career. The decision to be certified, and the level of certification is ultimately, your choice. As you would with your career; nourish, develop and keep your credentials on track. 		National Office Holiday Hours The NPMA National Office will be closing at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, September 3rd and will be closed all day Monday, September 6th in observance of the Labor Day holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 7th. We hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend with family and friends!

		Connect with Industry Colleagues in the Online Community Similar to other social platforms, the Online Community allows you to make connections with your fellow members to build your network within the NPMA community! How do I connect with others in the Online Community? Once you are signed into your NPMA profile, select "Directory" in the Online Community navigation. Search for the NPMA member you would like to connect with. After you find the member, click on their name with in the directory search. You will be directed to the member's profile page. Select "Connect" and this will send a connection request to that user. The person you are requesting to connect with will have to approve the connection.
