Ms. Ivonne Bachar, CPPM, CF of the Higher Education and Research Chapter is the recipient of the 2020 Andrew C. Anderson Lifetime Achievement award!

Ivonne has been a continuous member of NPMA since 1981. She is a contributing author to NPMA course materials and certification textbooks. while also teaching certification classes and serving as an NPMA Proctor. Ivonne also had a leading role in the creation of the University Supplement and is a Charter member and serves as an advisor to the Higher Education and Research Chapter. Ivonne is one of NPMA’s most frequently requested instructors, having lead hundreds of sessions for NPMA’s National Education Seminars, as well as the Spring and Fall Seminars, and has also served as National Seminar Programs Chairperson. She has also presented at California State Universities Property Administrator’s meetings, APICS, NCURA and other professional associations. Ivonne earned NPMA’s highest certification, Certified Personal Property Manager and NPMA’s highest honor, the Consulting Fellow designation where she continues to contribute as an active member on the CF advisory board. Ivonne has been elected to numerous Region and Chapter offices including Western Region VP and Chapter President. She has also been elected to the following national offices on the NPMA Executive Board: VP Administration, VP of Certification, VP of Professional Development, VP Membership, Executive VP and most notably National President. In addition, she has also earned the prestigious Property Person of the Year award. Without a doubt, Ivonne has dedicated her career to personal property policy, leadership and is one of the greatest advocates in the history of our profession. Above all, she has been a mentor to hundreds of members, freely providing advice when needed to help solve their business challenges while also helping them advance their careers.

Each day will begin with opening remarks, followed by three, hour-long sessions and 20 minute intermissions. Sessions will be a mix of individual contributors and panel discussion, with plenty of opportunity for questions and audience participation. Topics will range from Building a Diverse and Inclusive Workforce, to Audit Etiquette, Career Trajectory and Surplus Property. Panel Discussions will focus on inventory practices, self-assessment, facilities and property as well as managing a remote workforce.
