Fleet Management: Certified Federal Fleet Manager (CFFM)


The NPMA,in partnership with Fleet-Wi$e Management Group, is proud to offer the Certified Federal Fleet Manager (CFFM).

 

Fleet Managers play a crucial role in overseeing, optimizing, and ensuring smooth operation of an organziation's vehicle fleet. Their responsibilities span strategic planning, day-to-day operations, financial management, and leadership, all aimed at maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs while ensuring compliance and safety.

 

A skilled Fleet Manager ensures that the fleet:

* Operates cost-effectively and efficiently.
* Adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
* Meets organizational objectives for performance and sustainability.
 
By balancing strategic oversight with operational details, a Fleet Manager serves as the linchpin in achieving the optimal performance of the vehicle fleet.
 
By the end of this course, YOU should understand:
 
1. Understand federal fleet policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
2. Develop strategies for optimizing fleet utilization and cost efficiency.
3. Manage maintenance operations and vendor relationships effectively.
4. Implement sustainability initiatives in line with federal mandates.
5. Leverage data and technology for informed decision-making.
6. Ensure safety and risk management across fleet operations.

16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded for class completion.

TESTING

  • Exam: The Fleet Certification exam is a 75- question multiple-choice exam. It is not administered during the class.
  • Proctor: NPMA certification exams are administered through an independent proctoring company, Kryterion and their system, Webassessor.
  • Exam Process: Exams can be taken online or at a Test Center. Scheduling an exam appointment is made online directly with Kryterion. Learn more about the exam process and online exam requirements on the Exam Administration webpage.
  • Exam Scheduling: If you would like to take your exam online after the class is complete, please do not make your testing appointment before 5:30 pm on the last day of class. When signing up for your online exam, allow a minimum of 24 hours before your requested start time/date.
  • Course Venue: If you are taking the exam at the course venue after the close of the class, you will be responsible for providing your own internet access either through your hotel room’s hardwired internet or by using your Smartphone as a WiFi hotspot.
  • Internet Connection: NPMA does not provide internet access for testing.

COURSE MATERIALS

Student Manual is included in registration fee. A PDF version of the student manual will be emailed prior to the start of class to familiarize yourself with the course content.


Important Registration Information:

Please note: A minimum number of registrants is required to hold this course. NPMA will make the Go/No-Go decision at least 45-days out. If you are planning to attend, please make sure to register at least 45 days prior to the start of the course. In the event a course is cancelled, NPMA will not be liable for non-refundable travel, so please do not book before confirming with a NPMA staff member that the course will hold. Once the course is full to capacity, registration will close.

 

Payment must be received 45 days prior to the course. 

 

Waiting on approval for registration funding? To guarantee that you have a spot in the course, it is highly recommended you register for the course as soon as possible. Upon completing your registration, choose bill me. This will generate an invoice and hold your spot while you wait for required approval from your organization.

 

CANCELLATIONS 

  • In the event you need to cancel your registration, cancellations must be received in writing 45 days prior to the first day of course
  • No refunds less than 45 days before start date of class
  • A refund, equivalent to the member tuition rate less $75 processing fee, will be granted up to 45 days prior to class; no refunds or course transfers will be granted for cancellations after this date.
