Statement of Experience and Bio Information

     Ms. Bachar, the Director of the Property Management Office at Stanford University, is a recognized leader in Property and Asset Management.  She holds a Masters Degree in Education in addition to CPPM level certification and Consulting Fellow recognition with the NPMA.  She has served as professional Instructor and guest speaker at numerous conferences for various organizations throughout the U.S.  An active member of the NPMA, she has held numerous positions within the Bay Area Chapter, Served as Western Region VP, and served on the National Executive Board as VP Certification, VP Professional Development, Executive VP, VP Membership, and ultimately as National President.  She is currently serving as the VP of Administration.  Over the years, she has been an active member of the Council of Fellows, served on the Board of Advisers, and participated on the Seminar and Conference Planning activity teams. She is a Consulting Fellow and is a recipient of the NPMA Property Person of the Year Award.  Her in-depth knowledge of NPMA, it's challenges as well as operational successes is essential for this role.


    Her career includes staff and managerial positions in commercial manufacturing, research & development, and research-intensive University environments.  Throughout her career, areas of responsibility have included the development and implementation of enterprise property management policies and procedures, operational systems, selection and organization of property staff, design and delivery of educational curriculum and training programs.  Performance of these responsibilities focuses on effective and efficient processes to enable and facilitate compliance and support business operations.



Mission and goals for the position

    Membership is at the heart of NPMA.  Key objectives in this role for me include providing the best possible tools and resources for NPMA members - striving to maximize our member outreach; monitoring industry trends that affect our members; working towards continued enhancement of services we offer our members and align them with our long-term strategic goals; and ensuring close collaboration with the Executive  Board as a whole to provide excellent educational and certification programs.
