Successful completion of the CFFS, CFFA, and CFFM is required prior to taking the CFFE exams.  NPMA membership is not required to participate in the Certification Program.  The Non-NPMA Member exam fees listed above do not include a membership.


Exam Details

The knowledge-based exams can be taken on-line or in written format.  Exams are only administered by a qualified NPMA Proctor.  Exams consist of three modules each comprised of 25 multiple-choice questions.  There is a 40-minute time limit to complete each exam.  Exams are administered in conjunction with the applicable training course.

FFM10:  Advanced Fleet Management – Estmated Hours = 8
This course aims to provide an advanced level of knowledge for people who perform fleet management duties full time. The course will educate people about a wide range of fleet management topics that include a good deal of information on the management and operation of fleet maintenance facilities such as staffing, parts management, outsourcing, etc. This course is essential for the fleet professional. FFM11:  Equipment Fleet Management – Estimated Hours = 8
This purpose of this course is to educate people in the business of managing off-road equipment such as tractor backhoes, bulldozers, forklifts, cranes, etc.


FFM12:  Expert Fleet Management – Estimated Hours = 8
This purpose of this course is to educate attendees in advanced fleet concepts such as lifecycle costing, performance monitoring and reporting, the science behind the alternative fuels, enabling change in the fleet organization and modifying customer behavior. Attaining this level of education will enable the fleet expert to train others.


Completion of FFM10, FFM11, and FFM12 will prepare attendees to take the CFFE Certification Exam administered by NPMA.  Successful completion of the exam will result in the award of the Certified Federal Fleet Expert.
