What Value is NPMA Membership to Contractor ORGANIZATIONS?

Federal Regulations

NPMA keeps its members on top of the latest updates to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR),
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as well as other Federal Regulations. Timely information is circulated to members using various means of communication including the weekly member newsletter, the Property Professional magazine, and through its many educational conferences, webinars and Chapter meetings.

Industry Standards

NPMA shares with its members regular updates on industry standards as a result of an established partnership with the ASTM International Committee E53 on Property Management Standards. Committee E53 is the official home for the development of management systems criteria, including performance standards, practices, metrics, and methods of effectiveness for the conduct of management and administration activities for durable and movable assets. Additionally, NPMA members are well informed of the development of the ISO 55000 asset management standard.

Networking

NPMA members include both government and contractor representatives and have access to numerous networking
opportunities. Through Chapter affiliation, members have the opportunity to meet with other asset management
professionals as often as monthly, in person and locally. Additional networking opportunities are available through
participation in educational events which often serve as a forum for additional communication and information exchange as well as Special Interest Groups. The result may lead to more successful working relationships and audit outcomes.

Special Interest Groups

NPMA members have the option of joining one or many Special Interest Groups such as Contract Property Management, Excess Property & Disposition, Property Inventory Management, and Federal Property Management at no additional charge. Special Interest Groups enable members to interact and network with others who practice similar disciplines.

Best Business Practices

NPMA members are knowledgeable of best business practices for managing property as a result of the many networking, educational and professional certification opportunities available. Best practices are also shared through the Property Professional magazine.

Professional Certifications

NPMA professional certifications ensure that your employees are knowledgeable of the best practices, regulations, and industry standards that are crucial to your Agency’s success. NPMA offers three distinguished levels of certification that can be achieved based on knowledge and experience.

Education

NPMA members have access to the experts that write the regulations and the standards that affect your organization through participation in the many educational events that are held throughout the year. No travel budget? No problem! NPMA members can stay on top of the latest information without leaving the office. Members have access to numerous cost effective educational webinars and online courses.

Customized On Site Training

NPMA classroom courses can be brought and presented to your organization or can be tailored to meet your needs. This option enables you to: save on employee travel time and eliminate hotel and travel expenses; and the course content can be modified to focus more narrowly on the needs of your organization.
