CEU FAQs

 

  • How do I request CEU credits for my event? 
    • To request CEU's, email the VP of Professional Development a detailed agenda which includes time frames and titles for each topic. 
    • If approved, the VP of Professional Development will assign the appropriate amount of CEUs.
  • How are CEUs Calculated?
    • CEUs are calculated using the following formula:
      • 1 hour of educational content = 1 CEU 
  • Who would reach out to the VP of Proffessional Development to request CEUs for an event?
    • Whoever is hosting the event (Chapter, Region, etc.) would be the one to reach out to the VP of Professional Development with a full agenda requesting CEUs for attendees. 
    • The attendees do not need to reach out to the VP of Professional Development. In order to assign CEUs, this request must come from the host of the event.
  • What is the the price for CEUs?
    • The NPMA Executive Board voted that the cost of registering NPMA issued CEU credits to its members is $0.00
    • However, if you participated in a non-NPMA sponsored event (For example, training through your company), the cost to record your CEU credits and / issue a Certificate is $15.00 per member per event.
  • How do we ensure all attendees receive CEUs once the event is over?
    • After the event is complete, the host of the event will need to submit the roster and sign-in sheet to HQ via email.
    • Under the Chapter Tool Kit, there is a document titled "CEU Sign in Sheet" that the host will need to have completed to issue credits.
      • The first tab of that sheet will be the roster for the event. This will be filled out via excel and submitted as an excel file. 
      • The second tab is the actual sign-in sheet. The information will need to be updated to your specific event, printed and filled out by each individual that attends the event. This document will then be scanned and emailed to education@npma.org
  • My transcript is not correct under My Learning, how can I fix it?
    • If you feel that your My Learning transcript is not correct, please email education@npma.org with the details of what's missing/incorrect. 
  • How long does it take forCEUs to appear on my transcript?
    •  All CEUs are put into our system's queue to be uploaded on the second and fourth Friday of every month. Due to this, please keep in mind it may take a few weeks for any updates to appear under your My Learning transcript.
