Membership Levels Updates

Effective January 1, 2017 NPMA will dissolve the multiple membership level program and focus on providing all members with the same level of benefits:

  • Members that are part of either Gold or Platinum membership will be able to take advantage of the associated benefits until their renewal period ends even if after January 1, 2017.
  • Members are still able to join as Gold or Platinum level until January 1, 2017.
  • Starting January 1, 2017 all members will receive the same level of benefits.

NES Scholarships Available Through the NPMA Foundation and Regions

NPMA Foundation Grant Applications
The NPMA Foundation is now accepting grant applications to support attendance at the 2016 National Education Seminar. Grant applications must be completed using the online form located on the Foundation website. The window for submitting an application closes sixty days before the beginning of the NES. Additional details, including the eligibility rules to apply for grants, can be found on the NPMA website.

NES Scholarships through your Region
Each NPMA Region offers a scholarship program in addition to the NPMA Foundation. Don’t forget to check with your Region leaders in addition to the NPMA Foundation if you are in need of financial assistance to attend NES this year.


Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (MST) Raises Awareness for Asset Management

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (MST) Property Management held their annual Property Management Day on March 16, 2016. This event has been recognized in March by MST since 2013. But this year was the first time that the new MST Property team members at Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, also joined in and participated in this event. This date was selected because it is close to the anniversary date for National Property Management Association. During the common lunch times at Lockheed Martin MST/Sikorsky sites, all of the Lockheed Martin Property Management Staff set up a table to meet and greet employees and share various Lockheed Martin property management handouts including a special MST/Sikorsky Property Management brochure designed specifically for that day. This year’s brochure focused on the custodian, and their responsibilities, and their support to Property Management. The purpose of this event was to introduce the Property Management personnel to employees at their sites and to answer questions about Property Management. This event has always been successful at the sites. This event is part of a continuing MST/Sikorsky Property Awareness Campaign to help our employees to not just view asset management as simply a record keeping function, but to also realize that we all are making significant investments in fixed assets as well as maintaining customer property in support our overall mission, and most importantly to be more familiar with the requirements of Property Management.
