Description:

The NPMACertification Programis designed to elevate professional standards and enhance individual performance for those who demonstrate a high level of competence essential to the practice of property management.


NPMA certification courses cover all property management categories from pre-acquisition to disposition and serve toreviewthe information provided to studentsbeforethe class begins. Once you have paid for your registration, you will receive the course materials.

It is strongly recommended that you study the manual(s) prior to attending the course.

 

CPPS Eligibility Requirements

  • You are new to property or work as a specialist in a specific area (e.g., shipping, receiving, or inventory).

Registration includes:


  • Fundamentals of Personal Property Management Manual and study guide
  • Two 50 questions, multiple choice exams which will be administered during the class

Cheri Cross is the Property Manager at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) which is operated by UT-Battelle, LLC for the Department of Energy. For the past two years, Cheri has been serving as a delegate from the USA in the development of the ISO Asset Management Systems Standard. She is a Certified Personal Property Manager and an NPMA Consulting Fellow. In her 34 years of service at ORNL, 22 have been devoted to the improvement of Property Management. Her accomplishments include the Jack Griffiths Property Person of the Year Award, Eastern Region Property Person of the Year Award, and multiple literary awards. She is currently serving as the NPMA National Director of Special Interest Groups, and on the NPMA Executive Board as the Immediate Past President. Cheri has a B. S. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, graduating Summa Cum Laude as the “Top Graduate” from the College of Business.
