Acquisition

A significant function of a property system is the process of acquisition, that is, the getting or gaining of items of property needed to meet business objectives. Because acquisition involves the expenditure of organization funds, it must be carried out with a great deal of discipline. Management tools must be put into place and maintained to ensure compliance with those policies and procedures. This course is for personnel from the property management department, procurement department, grants and contracts office, and finance and comptroller’s office who must work closely to ensure that all supporting documents are accurately maintained.
