Government regulations require contractors to establish and maintain processes for the control and accountability of government property in the possession of subcontractors. To satisfy these regulatory requirements, individuals
responsible for subcontract property control processes must have an understanding of the contractual property control requirements. This class will provide attendees with an understanding of the contractor’s contractual requirements and responsibilities
relating to subcontractor-held government-owned property. Class presentations and discussions will focus on the various processes that must be implemented by both the prime contractor and the subcontractor to ensure compliance to applicable contractual property
control requirements. In addition, the process and methods that can be utilized in performing subcontractor property control audits will be discussed.

- Contractual requirements and responsibilities of contractors and subcontractors.
- Procedures and processes related to subcontractor-held Government-owned property.
- Conducting subcontractor audits.

Andy’s career in property management spans over four decades. He has held responsible logistics and property management positions in the military, government, industry and with non-profit research and development institutions. As a result of this vast experience,
he has been a featured speaker at numerous NPMA events and many other professional conferences both nationally and internationally. He is a Certified Professional Property Manager and has been awarded the recognition of Consulting Fellow. In 2008, he became
the recipient of the prestigious Jack Griffiths Award as the NPMA Property Person of the Year. Along with his teaching and consulting work, Andy recently joined AssetSmart to assist with the business development efforts.
